Desert Sci-Fi: Is a VFX shot I made when I went on an out west trip to “The Great Sand Dunes.” I started by shooting the scene on my Iphone of my brother just walking across the top of one of the sand dunes. Next, I went into Blender 3D and modeled and textured the droid, motion-tracked the camera footage, and then animated the droid into the scene. I rendered out a shadow catcher to really ground the droid into the scene.
